Hello I’m Barbara the Herdwick ewe. I came into the sanctuary in early 2018 after the team received a call of a lovely gentleman that was looking after me. I had fallen ill with Pneumonia and he was trying to get me back to full heath. After doing all he could for me he asked the Idlewild team to take me on and continue with my treatment and rehabilitation. The sanctuary was happy to help and offered me my retirement home. I now live in the large mixed field with my Sheep friends, Pig Friends and my Goat friends. We do have chicken friends too that come to say hi as they free-range around the farm.
