Hi I’m Betty the Shetland ewe. I came to the Sanctuary with my best friends and we live with our sheep, goat and pig friends in the large mixed field. We came to the sanctuary as we were being sent to the meat market Idlewild came along and offered us a retirement home. Me and my best friends have spent our lives having lambs and once I got too old the farmer no longer wanted us as we were not profitable anymore. Since coming to Idlewild I have been treated for worm and foot rot and I’m starting to put weight and condition on. I enjoy feed and come running once I see that food bucket. I also love apples and melon and I am always up for some extra treats.
