Jacob

Jacob was born in the spring of 2019 and has lived with his sister Lucy ever since. In his previous home, Jacob and Lucy were super naughty and, goats being goats, spent most of their time jumping over fences and free-ranging. The owners had not kept goats before and didn’t realise quite how destructive they can be in terms of damage to fences and crop produce. They were getting the owner in trouble with the neighbouring farmer by roaming over the fences and eating his crops. He made a plan to send them to slaughter for meat but then checked with us to see whether we would consider rehoming them. Of course, we said yes and they have been with us ever since. Since joining us, Jacob has been busy stripping our oak trees – luckily, he is our tallest goat and he can eat!
